Presenting is supposed to be nerve wracking! But somehow, when the folks at Parker Seminars asked me to be part of their renowned seminar in Orlando June 10-11, I felt a sense of calm accomplishment. I have presented to my peers in the past, virtually, in smaller arenas, but being asked to present two topics at Parker Seminars was a true honor. Hosted and managed by Parker University, they are the gold standard in the Chiropractic Profession. Parker University President, Dr. Bill Morgan is a big part of the reason I was selected and I am so thankful!
I opened the weekend on the biggest stage complete with DJ and light-bar to present the topic of Infant Exam and Adjustment. Such an important topic in my opinion. As a pediatric chiropractor there are basic exam and treatment fundamentals that students and doctors need to know! Pediatric care is the future of chiropractic - and the future of making sure our children don't grow up to be the crooked, creaky adults that we are!
On day two I presented a lecture called The True Value of Hiring or Becoming a Chiropractic Associate. This was a blast! I met so many owners and students after my lecture thanking me for hosting a discussion that everyone could be a part of and appreciate. As an owner over the last 15 years I have learned a thing or two about appreciating employees and truly enjoying the process. Best of luck to everyone out there.
Graciously, I have been asked back to present at the upcoming Parker Seminar in Dallas, TX on September 30th, really looking forward to it!
Lisa Goodman, DC, CCSP, CACCP founded Washington Park Chiropractic in 2006 in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Goodman is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) and Certified Prenatal and Pediatric Chiropractor (CACCP). She is a CrossFit L1 and CrossFit Kids Certified Trainer. Dr. Goodman incorporates sports chiropractic techniques with prenatal and pediatric patients, she teaches mobility and taping classes locally, and is a contributor to POPSUGAR, Urban Life Wash Park and DC Aligned. She is an instructor at Logan University's Masters of Science in Integrative Pediatrics program. She is a member of the ACA Pediatrics Council and the ACA Sports Council. Areas of special interest include prenatal care, ankle and wrist injuries, instrument assisted soft tissue techniques, strength training, and pediatric fitness.
