POLICIES & FEES

Fee Schedule

Effective April 1, 2023

Our goal is to provide you with the best personalized health care at an affordable price.

Scheduling your first appointment is easy through our real-time online schedule or by calling or texting our office at 303-744-7100. Your initial visit will be one hour to allow for a thorough history, exam, and treatment. Please come dressed appropriately and bring any imaging studies (x-rays, MRI, etc) and radiology reports.

Cancellation / No Show Policy

To better serve our patients and assure that they have a fair opportunity to have an appointment as promptly as possible, please observe our cancellation policy for chiropractic, massage, acupuncture and nutrition appointments. We require a minimum 24-hour (during business hours) notice to cancel or reschedule chiropractic, massage, acupuncture, nutrition and new patient chiropractic appointments. Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled during business hours (ie. a voicemail left on Sunday for a Monday appointment cancellation will be subject to charge).

Financial Details

We are largely able to achieve the results we do with our patients because we only have one boss – you, the patient. All too often, insurance companies dictate what care is needed or what they see as valuable. At Washington Park Chiropractic, we prioritize patient care above all else. Our providers are experts in their fields and we advance our services and specialties based on the latest quality evidence. Health insurance companies’ rules and restrictions limit the type and duration of treatment policy holders can receive. In order to provide a level of care that treats the whole patient, not just an injury or symptom for a set time, we have chosen not to accept private health insurance. For us, your health is worth so much more.

By not accepting health insurance, we keep our office costs low, passing on that savings to you. We always accept Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) payments, and offer additional ways to pay including discounted prepayment packages to assist you with maintaining regular care over time. Additionally, we are happy to provide a superbill which includes all the information (diagnosis and treatment codes, fees, etc) your insurance company needs to reimburse you directly. To find out about your out-of-network benefits, call the customer service number on your insurance card. If you have an HSA and FSA the “superbill” will also validate your expenses in our office as healthcare-related to those entities. Payment for each visit is required at the time of service.

Medicare

We do accept Medicare as a “non-participating physician.” This means that we collect the full amount of your visit charges at the time of service and then send in your Medicare billing for you. Medicare and your secondary insurance policy (if you have one in place) may then reimburse you, based on the details of your health coverage. Medicare is very particular on what chiropractic services they will cover. Medicare only covers spinal manipulation and only if it is considered active treatment. This definition is narrow and your provider is the only person who can determine if your current condition qualifies as active treatment. In addition, all of our patient visits include more than spinal manipulation, in fact some visits do not even include manipulation. Our doctors routinely add manual therapy, laser therapy, taping or spinal decompression to your appointment for a more complete and thorough treatment. Therefore, only part of your visit may be reimbursable by Medicare. Your provider will go over medicare coverage in more detail with you.

The initial exam and treatment as well as supplement/orthopedic support sales are payable at the time of service. We accept cash, check, and VISA/MC.

Your privacy is important to us. Please take a moment to review our Notice of Privacy Practices (HIPAA) and Patient Rights.

*There is no out-of-network reimbursement for Medicare, Tricare or Kaiser/HMO patients.

Kids and Dogs

We are a family practice and love seeing children in our office. We encourage you to bring your child to any chiropractic appointments. However, due to liability, we cannot accommodate childcare during any massage or acupuncture appointments. We also welcome your friendly dogs to your chiropractic appointment, we love to see them! You may want to leave your pooch at home before an acupuncture or massage appointment.
