ANDREW KAKISHITA

CHIROPRACTIC INTERN

BACKGROUND

Andrew was born in Japan and grew up in Yorba Linda, California. Being only minutes away from Disneyland, he enjoyed frequenting the parks with a group of friends as well as with his school marching and jazz bands. Following high school, Andrew served a two-year mission in Fukuoka, Japan, where he rediscovered his love for the Japanese culture and people. While there, he met his wife, Ariana. When he wasn’t studying, Andrew enjoyed working on the side as a wedding photographer and helping to wrangle his son Koa so Ariana could work. Their family is now excited to live in Denver as Andrew wraps up his chiropractic studies with an internship at Washington Park Chiropractic. He’s excited to learn from the pros and hone his skills to better be able to serve the Denver community!

EDUCATION

After his mission, he studied at Brigham Young University in Utah and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science. Shortly after, they moved to Davenport, Iowa to continue Andrew’s education at Palmer College of Chiropractic.

WHY CHIROPRACTIC?

Andrew has always had a strong desire to help people. As a teen, his local chiropractor helped his entire family recover from injuries big and small. Seeing the impact of chiropractic treatment, Andrew decided to pursue a career in chiropractic to help other families experience the healing that chiropractic care can offer.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE TO DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?

In his free time, Andrew enjoys photography (weddings, couples, landscapes), running, and beginner woodworking projects. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Ariana, and his one year old son, Koa. He and his wife are expecting their second child in July!
