Why schedule monthly chiropractic adjustments?

  • Adjustments provide lubrication to the tiny joints of your spine that can otherwise stiffen up over time, eventually leading to arthritis

  • Promote muscle relaxation. Decrease muscular pains by relieving tense muscles, this can increase muscle flexibility and promote circulation which allows nutrients and oxygen to reach and heal muscles faster.

  • Improve circulation. With improved circulation entire bodily function is improved. This can be: better immune reactions, lower blood pressure, improved muscle repair, etc.

  • Improved posture. By relaxing tense muscles and helping strengthen lengthened muscles the body can help realign itself and decrease daily chronic pain in areas like the upper/lower back, neck, jaw, and feet.

  • Improved performance. Daily performance can be improved which can be from work performance to sports performance. With increase flexibility and postures the body can work more efficiently and improve any performance desired.

  • Reduce stress. Stress is a major cause of disease in the body and acupuncture is known to reduce the stress hormone cortisol and increase endorphins.

  • Emotional health.  Chinese medicine explores and treats the effects of emotions on the body (mind body connection). When received regularly acupuncture can help keep emotions and the energies affecting the emotions balanced. 

  • Prevent injuries. An acupuncturist certified in Sports medicine acupuncture can help address postural imbalances that may lead to tears and injuries over time. 

  • Acupuncture is also very helpful with inflammatory issues. It can help reduce swelling, arthritic pain and other issues leading to inflammation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use multiple services together?

Our providers recommend using chiropractic, massage, and acupuncture in conjunction with each other. You can even schedule an adjustment before your after a massage or acupuncture appointment for a total self-care day! The relaxation after your massage or acupuncture might even help improve your adjustment. 

Like any of our services used in isolation, make sure to hydrate before and after your appointments and ask your provider for recommendations for activities and workout the same day and days following.

Can I come in more or less frequently?

Everybody's body is different! For some people, wellness care means an appointment every 6-8 weeks and for others it means every 3-4 weeks. Your providers will work with you and your lifestyle to help you find the right frequency of care for you. If you need a tune up in or have an injury in between wellness appointments, call us! We'll get you in and adjust your plan to help you heal and get back on the wellness track.

Do you have packages or memberships for wellness care?

At Washington Park Chiropractic, we offer 6 and 12-packs for chiropractic, massage, and acupuncture. If you come in monthly, these packages can be bought every 6-months or annually. You can even use your HSA cards to purchase them HERE.

 

For couples and families seeking monthly chiropractic care, we also offer our Align & Thrive Wellness Memberships. These guarantee you a specific number of adjustments each month to be shared among your family. We have memberships from families of any size.
