Having been raised in a family of healthcare professionals, Dr. Cynthia Mangla has had a passion for helping others from a young age. As a chiropractic physician, that passion has only grown and provides the perfect avenue to serve individuals of all ages.
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Mangla attended Miami University of Ohio to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She then went on to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida for her doctoral education. While at Palmer, Dr. Mangla was a student ambassador for the college allowing her to share her knowledge and passion for chiropractic with a wide array of people.
Attending the Palmer school system allowed Dr. Mangla to become trained in a variety of chiropractic techniques including Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, Activator and Flexion- Distraction. She believes in treating the whole person through a multi-faceted approach, and therefore has completed additional training in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), Kinesiology Taping and Nutrition.
Dr. Mangla is Webster Technique certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), allowing her to treat prenatal and post-partum patients more effectively. This technique is beneficial for pregnant women in allowing for optimal fetal positioning along with easier labor and delivery. She is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) through the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicans (ACBSP). This training allows her to efficiently diagnose and treat athletes. Living in an active community, this training has been beneficial in recognizing and treating common injuries seen in active individuals, along with providing measures for future injury prevention. Dr. Mangla has been fortunate to take advantage of various opportunities providing medical services to underserved populations around the world. During her undergraduate education, Dr. Mangla traveled to Belize, where a team of healthcare professionals and students set-up clinics in under-privileged communities. During this experience, she was further educated by the lead Medical Doctor on common ailments found in that region, which are not commonly seen in the United States. While in chiropractic school, Dr. Mangla traveled to various impoverish regions in Fiji providing chiropractic and first-aid services. While in Fiji, she participated in setting up clinics in local schools, providing care primarily to the pediatric population. Dr. Mangla is passionate about giving back, and hopes to continue to take advantage of opportunities providing care to those less fortunate. When Dr. Mangla is not in the office, you can find her staying active with yoga, hiking, skiing, kayaking or spending time with her dog, Ziggy. Dr. Mangla is always looking for new places to explore, so feel free to share your favorite recommendations with her at your next appointment!
